I graduated from Columbia College of Missouri with my Bachelor of Arts in 2013. I proceeded to get my Master's in Secondary English Education from Samford University (in Birmingham, AL) in 2015. My graduate GPA was 3.89. I am currently a high school English teacher in Escambia County, and I work with all kinds of students; I have experience working with Honors and AP students as well as students who struggle with ADHD and distractibility. I love working with students 1 on 1.
Experience
I have several years of tutoring, subbing, and teaching experience. I have taken several college English classes, and I have 12 graduate hours in the English discipline. I tutor because I don't get to work with students one on one as often as I wish. My passion is teaching, and I love when my students learn a new concept and start putting it into practice! My approach is to help students emphasize their strengths while helping to close the skill gap that keeps them from getting the grades they desire.
