I have been teaching for six years with a focus on reading and writing for students learning English as a second language as well as native speakers. I am certified in English (6-12) and social studies with endorsements in reading and ESOL. I have always loved learning. I enjoy teaching and tutoring to help others enjoy learning as well. In the spring of 2016 I was recognized by the Florida Department of Education as a High-Impact teacher. This designation was based on how students performed on statewide exams over a 3-year period and the growth of the students from one year to the next.

My favorite things to do involve spending time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, puzzles, and mysteries and have three dogs, which I love to play with and take on walks. More traveling is a goal of mine, but right now short trips, especially to the beach, are great fun!
